Positive Discipline at Woodlands Elementary
Woodlands Elementary is wild about Positive Behavior Intervention and Support! Our teachers, support staff, and administration have worked collaboratively to create grade level and school-wide plans to provide consistency in expectations, policies, and procedures. We have developed the PAWS award that students can earn for demonstrating the following positive behaviors:
Positive Effort and Attitude
Act Responsible
Work Together
Safety First
Earning PAWS awards
1) The students can put their name and their teacher's name on the PAWS award.
2) The students save the PAWS awards to exchange for treats at "Woody's Wagon," reserve special lunch spots in Red Apple Dining room, or attend Principal Parties.
Also, teachers have incorporated their own classroom award system where students can trade in their PAWS awards to earn classroom incentives. Woodlands' students strive to do their best everyday so that they can be recognized for their PAWSitive behaviors!
